WHY GO SOLAR

Why homeowners choose us

We handle everything in-house, so you deal with one team from the first survey to the day your system switches on.

  • Built for Portuguese sunshine

Systems sized for the high irradiation of southern and central Portugal, so your panels produce close to their maximum year-round.

  • Certified installation team

Our own qualified installers fit every system to code - no subcontracted crews, no shortcuts on mounting, wiring or safety.

  • Honest return-on-investment advice

We show you realistic production estimates and payback periods before you commit, based on your roof and your consumption.

  • We handle the paperwork

Registration, certification and grid connection paperwork is managed by us, so you don't have to navigate it alone.

  • Battery-ready systems

Every installation we design can take a home battery later, letting you store surplus energy for the evening.

  • Local, long-term support

After installation we stay reachable for monitoring, cleaning and servicing - your system is a relationship, not a one-off sale.

OUR SERVICES

What we install

From straightforward rooftop systems to full self-sufficiency setups with batteries and EV charging.

  • Rooftop solar panels

High-efficiency panels mounted on tiled or flat roofs, sized to your household's consumption and roof orientation.

  • Home battery storage

Store the energy you produce during the day and use it at night, reducing what you draw from the grid.

  • Solar water heating

Thermal systems that use the sun to heat your water - a simple, proven way to cut a large household expense.

  • EV home chargers

Charge your electric car from your own roof, with smart chargers that prioritise solar surplus.

  • System maintenance and monitoring

Performance checks, panel cleaning and fault diagnosis to keep your installation producing at its best.

  • Upgrades and expansions

Have an existing system? We extend it with more panels, a battery or monitoring - including systems installed by others.

HOW IT WORKS

From quote to solar in four steps

A clear, predictable process - most homes are generating their own power within a few weeks of the first call.

  1. Free consultation and survey

We discuss your consumption and inspect your roof remotely or on site, then send a clear proposal with production estimates.

  2. Design and proposal

You receive a system layout, expected monthly output and an itemised price - no hidden extras.

  3. Installation day

Our certified team fits the panels, inverter and any battery, typically in one to two days for a family home.

  4. Activation and paperwork

We commission the system, register it with the grid operator and show you how to monitor your production.

ABOUT US

A Portuguese team that knows Portuguese roofs

We started Solaris Portugal because homeowners kept telling us the same thing: they wanted solar, but found the process confusing and the quotes impossible to compare. So we built the company around making it simple.

Every system we install is designed by our own engineers and fitted by our own installers. We don't resell other companies' work, and we don't disappear after the invoice.

With more than 100 houses already powered by our installations, we've worked on everything from village houses with thick stone walls to modern villas with flat concrete roofs - and we know what each type needs.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

How much can I really save with solar panels in Portugal?

It depends on your consumption, roof orientation and system size. During your free survey we give you a realistic production and savings estimate for your specific home - we would rather give you honest numbers than a best-case fantasy.

How long does an installation take?

The physical installation usually takes one to two working days for a typical family home. Including the survey, design and grid paperwork, most homes go from first contact to generating power within a few weeks.

Do I need a battery?

Not necessarily. Without a battery you use solar power during the day and export the surplus. A battery makes sense if you are out during the day or want more independence - we will tell you honestly if it pays off for your situation.

What maintenance does a solar system need?

Very little. Panels are self-cleaning in most of Portugal's rainfall, but we recommend a check-up and occasional cleaning to keep output high. We offer maintenance plans and remote monitoring for all systems we install.

Which areas of Portugal do you cover?

We install across mainland Portugal. Availability for your specific location can vary, so mention your town when you request your quote and we will confirm straight away.

What warranties come with the system?

Panels, inverter and mounting all carry manufacturer warranties, and our installation workmanship is guaranteed by us. Full warranty details are included in every proposal we send.
